MissionPartner – OMF The Ballingers: James and Charley OMF is one of the Sherbornes with Pamber church focus mission organisations in partnership with James and Charley Ballinger. James, born in UK, grew up in Europe & Charley born in Australia with family in Ireland met each other whilst studying at Oxford, where they both became Christians. Married in early 2008 they decided to explore the opportunity to do overseas mission work in Asia with OMF. James was working at Hamilton Presbyterian church in Northern Ireland & Charley was studying at Belfast Bible College, when they were first introduced to our church in 2008. After applying to OMF and completing all the relevant selection criteria they were accepted to join the team in Japan in November 2009. They are now based in Sapporo in the Northern region of Hokkaido concentrating on language studies and integration with the people and culture for the first 2 years. They feel blessed to be doing Gods work in a country with large potential for growth in Christianity. We continue to support James & Charley in as many ways as possible but especially in prayer and an understanding of their mission activity in Japan. |
